Everything goes with Dinka...did you say "baking"

Over the years there have been baking traditions connected to the seasons. For the Christmas Holidays there would always be Pogaça (a form of sweet bread), Orihnjaça (walnut bread), medve∂e sape (my favourite), bird nests, kiflice, krostuli, to name a few. Tosti are the everyday standby and for the holidays we take them up a notch by tossing in cranberries or dip them in chocolate… Even Koko knows when something is happening in the kitchen that tickles her fancy. She usually follows me around and is ready to go anywhere UNLESS Mom is baking tosti. When that happens Koko doesn’t know who I am nor care where I’m going hahahaha. She sticks by Grandma like the granddog she is!! It’s a delight to watch or leave knowing she’s beyond happy.

When Koko is not on cookie standby she’s delighted to model up for the season. Here she is as the new Duer art dog model hahaha…

Now after all those years of baking and cooking and enjoying food something magical happened today. A dear heart friend came by to wish us a Happy Holidays and gifted us with a Stollen. I’d never heard of it before but pretty immediately started to share it with friends who dropped by and all I can say is OMG!!! It’s the devil.

Believe it or not it’s to die for and to be specific it’s a Thomas Haas Stollen. Do yourself a holiday favour and try just try to have only one bite of this amazing devilish cake. (smile) I dare you and Dinka is totally on side.
