Last week we saw the beginnings of art going up — mind you the art in the Gallery space is there and posted, listed and being viewed. This week I got chairs!!! Yeah!! I’ve been waiting for these, a desk and coffee table to arrive for a while and honestly I cant speak for the desk and table at this point BUT I can share the great chairs. This completes my intimate eating area by the deck.
Everyday since I’ve actually moved in I notice moments and details in my beloved home. Today I’m going to share the new exciting chairs with you — 3 simple chairs that work and make the area a joy!
There will be more to come on so many levels. What I do want to share with you now is the Gallery space that I love with more than 40 pieces of art I love, some local, but all worth seeing. Here’s how it can happen just look at this link. I was turned onto the most amazing person who agreed to co-host an air bnb here at one of my places. This space was intended for MOM, but what was I thinking?
I put in all the extras for Mom to enjoy my gallery space, but somehow forgot she was not comfortable with being ground level. Silly me for being practical and thinking “no stairs” was a good thing, lol. Right? Yes, we all have out family enlightenment moments. To my surprise and JOY Mom decided she wanted to live in the back/new construction … Octopus. God love her, as it has brought me so much joy to know she is happy, happy happy in this space and community. She has told me how it reminds her of the “old country” and knowing all the people around you. God love her.
However, this meant my plan for her comfort went array and now what to do with the gallery? Thankfully because I have some amazing friends I was lead to the idea of air bnb “ing” the space. We went live last week when I went to an art opening on the Sunshine Coast and was full of nerves as I went there. OMG I should be meeting the people coming and be the “good Balkan host” I’ve been trained to be. (smile) It was all scheduled so I went with the flow. Well how delightful was that. I was able to share my loved home with others and not really have to do much. It was a chance for art (part of my collection) to be seen and enjoyed with people that, as it turned out, appreciated being surrounded by it.
Thank you Universe, your’e making me happy!… and speaking of happy
p.s. Happy Family Day!
